AT ALL TIMES THE OBJECTIVES OF NZRC COMPETITIONS IS
TO PROMOTE A FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE
The full "Rules for Competitions" is available from the Secretary. It applies to all Official Competitions - i.e. those organised or sponsored or financed by the NZRC National Committee. These include:
(a) Area/Regional qualifying Inter-Club Competitions
(b) North and South Island Inter-Club Competitions (NITE & SITE)
(c) National Inter-Island Championships
(d) National Teams Championship
The NZRC National Committee shall be the sole interpreter of the rules.
Only Riding Clubs affiliated to the NZRC who have paid their affiliation fees in full in the current year are eligible to enter for Official Competitions.
The Rules cover all the events that can be held at these competitions. They are for teams of a maximum of 6 horse-rider combinations, of which four may be nominated for each event.
There are four compulsory events. Two must be jumping events and two must be non-jumping events.
The Show Committee may hold a maximum of six events, but shall declare the four compulsary events in the programme, from which the scores of the teams' overall points will be taken. The events are selected from the following:
NON-JUMPING PHASE ONE
1A: Teams Inspection - Turn-out
1B: Riding Clubs Team Class - Turn-out
1C: Lead in Hand and Show Ring Craft Class
1D: Teams Ride - Best Paced and Mannered - ridden test instructed by judge
1E: NZRC Team Tests
1F: Riding Clubs Team Display
1G: Riding Clubs Mount - Equitation and Obstacle Course
1H: Mounted Games
1I: Trail Ride - refer to NZ Endurance & Trail Ride Assn Rules
NON JUMPING PHASE TWO:
2A: Quadrille
2B: Dressage - up to Prelim or Horse Trials Novice level
2C: Grand Prix Caprilli
2D: Pairs Dressage
JUMPING PHASE THREE:
3A: Teams Cross Country
3B: Cross Country - ODE type
3C: Working Hunter
3D: Show Hunter
3E: Equitation Jumping
JUMPING PHASE FOUR:
4A: Teams Showjumping - Gamblers Stakes
4B: Showjumping - Horse Trials type
4C: Relay Showjumping
4D: Baton Relay
4E: Optimist Stakes
4F: Top Score Showjumping
4G: Jigsaw Showjumping
4H: Rescue Relay
4I: Relay from Enclosure
The competitions shall be held over two days. The Committee may hold the events in any order, but shall have at least two events on each day.
