Our club, the North Wellington Riding Club, decided many months ago (about July 99) to commit to hosting NITE and so the process began, first with fundraising and some serious event planning. Bev Birkett up in Taupo was my constant source of local information and help, plus we gathered ideas from Glenn, Val, Debbie and the previous hosts Tauranga RC. We held monthy committee meetings and beavered on with our ideas and tasks. NITE 2000 seemed so far away, but how those last few months flew! You know what it's like organising a team, well try TWO teams and the running of the event as well... we were like headless chickens in December. Plus the whole country seemed to be so preoccupied with the damn millennium! More...
It was a good meeting and a lot of ground was covered. Debbie organised an excellent lunch, and on the Saturday evening those who had not already departed (to drive through the night so they could go hunting the next day!!) went out for a flash meal in Hamilton.

Jeanette Garrett was also present. Judy Williams is to be asked to join the committee. Jeanette felt the Modules have not been sufficiently promoted, and the Committee meeting at NITE 2005 will discuss this in detail.
Subs will be $20 per club plus $5 per member - the increase to offset the higher cost of the insurance. Individual members will be $15, Constituent $85.
Taupo Equestrian Centre has been booked for the weekend of 8/9th January 2005. Taupo, Waimarino and Tuakau clubs have offered to do phases, and other clubs are still needed to help with the other phase and administration. Every club at NITE is to be asked to send a representative along to the committee meeting at NITE, particularly to elaborate on the Modules.
Next AGM in 2005 will be Saturday June 11th in Ohakune at 11am, followed by lunch and committee meeting.
